Project Description
The project consists of the planning and construction of a new 100,000 sq. ft. Illinois Care Center for Cancer (ICCC) for the University of Illinois at Chicago's College of Medicine at Peoria. The ICCC is to be located on the College of Medicine at Peoria Campus and designed to facilitate the interaction of various research and clinical operations. The primary research and clinical disciplines to be housed in the building include: Oncology, Hematology, Cancer Biology Research, Radiation Oncology, Cancer Center for Healthy Living and cancer support services. In addition to research clinical and medical office spaces, the building will house; a medical library, classrooms, auditorium, food services, conference and seminar spaces as well as linear accelerator facilities to support research activities as well as other lab and building support components. Approximately 10,000 square feet of the new building area will be in shell space. Structure parking for approximately 450 cars will also be required.
Initial commission may be limited, based on planning funds available.
