The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the IT Distribution Upgrade for Science and Engineering Building South at Chicago Campus project.

Project Description
The project consists of upgrading the horizontal distribution (cabling, equipment and pathways) for the entire Science and Engineering South building.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 AM local time, on Wednesday, April 17, 2002. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in the UIC Telecommunications Conference Room #124 at 1140 S. Paulina St., Chicago Illinois at 10:00 a.m., prevailing time on Wednesday, April 4, 2002. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
