The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Eye and Ear Infirmary Infrastructure Improvements at the Chicago Campus.

Project Description
The project consists of approximately 29,000 square feet of phased demolition and asbestos abatement on three levels of the Eye and Ear Infirmary Building.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Monday, November 5, 2001. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Prebid Conference
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held in the main lobby of the Eye and Ear Infirmary, 1855 W. Taylor Street, Chicago, Illinois at 3:00 p.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, October 23, 2001. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are required to attend.
