Project Description
The project consists of the preparation of a feasibilty study for the redevelopment and re-stacking of functions in the existing Medical Sciences South (old Orthopedics Building) on the University of Illinois at Chicago Campus for the department of Orthopedics. In order to accommodate the construction of the new College of Medicine Research Building the footprint of the existing Medical Sciences South (MSS) building is being reduced to approximately half of its original size. The work will be confined within the existing building which includes approximately 24,000 gross square feet, however the study must consider integration with the new College of Medicine Research Building scheduled for completion in 2004.
