The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Complete Retube of Superheater on Boiler #7 at the Chicago Campus.

Project Description
The project, for which base bids are being taken, consists of all work necessary to completely disassemble, and retube (excluding header pipes) existing steam superheater on boiler #7 in the UIC Medical Center Steamplant at 1717 West Taylor Street.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:30 PM local time, on Wednesday, September 19, 2001. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in the Facilities Management, Physical Plant Building, 1140 South Morgan Street, Conference Room B16, Chicago, Illinois 60607 at 10:30 a.m. prevailing time on Monday, September 10, 2001. Representatives of the owner will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
