The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Paulina Street Parking Structure Renovation of Elevators - UIC.

Project Description
Scope of renovation will include, but is not limited to, refurbishing existing traction machines; replacing existing controllers with a fully digital system that uses a powerful processing algorithm and provides highest ride quality, best performance time and code compliant features; replacing hoistway doors, door operators; installing new signal fixtures and car panels.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Monday, June 14, 1999. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

A pre-bid conference will be held at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Office for Capital Programs, 1140 South Paulina, Chicago, Illinois, Conference Room 120 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Monday, June 7, 1999. Representatives of the owner and the consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures.
