Project Description
The project is for Release 2 (Bid Package Group F) for the construction of a new 10 story cast-in-place 332,000 square foot College of Medicine Research Building (COMRB) for the University of Illinois at Chicago, modifications to adjacent buildings to facilitate the construction of and the connection to the new building, and the relocation and remodeling in adjacent facilities for existing operations. Bid package Group F contains only Security, Audio/Visual, and Telecommunications.

Prequalification Process
The prequalification process begins with the prospective bidders' submittal of a Prequalification Application. Copies of the application may be obtained from the Construction Manager by sending a fax (312) 421-5491 expressing interest to the attention of: Mr. Dan Hodgson, Engineer. The prequalification process will begin Monday, April 7, 2003. The prequalification deadline for bid group F is 12:00 noon prevailing time on Friday, April 25, 2003. Prequalification applications received after the deadline will be returned unopened to the applicant. Prequalification is only required of First Tier Prime Contractors.

Notice of Prequalification
After the prequalification deadline, all those applicants who are prequalified for the project will be notified by the construction manager. Bid documents will be distributed by the construction manager to only those applicants who are prequalified.
