The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Polk Street Residence Hall Renovation (re-bid) at the Chicago Campus project.

Project Description:
The project consists of complete interior demolition and renovation of the seven-floor student housing facility, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing infrastructure work as well.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 AM local time, on Monday, March 12, 2001. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

A pre-bid conference will be held in Room 244 at the OCP offices at 1140 South Paulina Street, Chicago IL 60612 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Wednesday, February 21, 2001. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
