The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Polk Street Residence Hall Renovation - Asbestos Abatement - Chicago Campus project.

Project Description
The project consists of the complete interior asbestos abatement of a seven-floor student housing facility.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 12:00 PM local time, on Thursday, January 25, 2001. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

A pre-bid conference will be held in Room 219 at the Student Residence Hall at 818 South Wolcott Street, Chicago, Illinois 60612 at 1:00 p.m., prevailing time, on Thursday, January 4, 2001. Representatives of the owner and the environmental engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
