Project Description
The project consists of full A/E services for the redesign of the present inpatient dialysis unit on 7 West at the UIC Hospital and expansion of that facility from 6 beds to 9 beds. MEP services shall include all HVAC, lighting, power and data connections and other mechanical requirements as required for the remodeling of this area.

A/E Submittals
Firms should submit 4 copies of the following: a letter of interest, a copy of its CDB prequalification letter, and a 255 form (use CDB SF 255 dated 7/1/99) by 12:00 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2002, addressed to:

Architect/Engineer selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

A/E Qualifications
Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered for selection:

  • Licensed to practice as an architect in the State of Illinois
  • Prequalified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois
  • Utilization of AutoCAD compatible system
The following project-related criteria will be used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection:
  • Architect/Engineer/Consultant experience in the design and construction of inpatient hospital facilities including Dialysis and other similar units.
  • Experience with academic/institutional remodeling and renovation projects.
  • Consultants acceptable to the University.
  • MAFBE Status of architect/engineer and any consultants.
