Project Description
The project consists of the preparation of a feasibility study for the construction of a new medical research building on the University of Illinois at Chicago Campus. The new facility is to be located on the west campus in close proximity to existing medical research facilities. The facility will include a full range of research facilities and bio-safety lab capability.
The initial commission will be limited to services related to the programming and conceptual design, phases. The services will include but are not limited schedule development and confirmation, budget development and confirmation constructibility reviews and other related activities including assistance with the preparation of grant submittal documents. Should the grant be awarded and the project proceed the retained Construction Manager would be considered for completion of the balance of the project.
Submittals
Firms should submit 4 copies of the following: a letter of interest and specific information relevant to this request with a focus on the qualifications and project-related criteria listed above. The submission must include a section with information relevant to the initial commission described above and a section with additional information relevant to the provision of complete construction management services through the design, construction and warranty phases of a project. The submission should include an organization chart and related information to clearly describe the key individuals and consultants proposed for the Construction Manager's team. Client and other project team references from similar projects should be included with the information submitted.
