The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Warehouse Renovation at the University of Illinois - Chicago project.
This project consists of renovating a turn of the century warehouse to meet UIC's current storage needs. This will include, but is not limited to the following: minor demolition, structural reinforcement, roofing, a new electrical system, additional HVAC work, and a new sprinkler system.
Bids will be received up to the hour of 2 p.m. prevailing time, on Friday, April 6, 2001, for Division II through Division V work at 1140 South Paulina Street, Room 244 Chicago, IL. 60612. Bids will be received up to the hour of 2 p.m. prevailing time, on Wednesday, April 11, 2001, for Division I work at 1140 South Paulina Street, Room 244 Chicago, IL. 60612. Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Wednesday, April 11, 2001. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
A pre-bid conference will be held in the Warehouse located at 1557 West 15th Street, Chicago, IL. at 2 p.m. prevailing time on Friday, March 30, 2001. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
