The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Polk Street Stream Line Replacement at Chicago campus project.
The project consists of replacing approximately 330 feet of 8 - HPS (High Pressure Steam) and 6 - CPD (Condensate Pump Discharge) and 190 feet of 4 - HPS and 3 - CPD serving Polk Street and Building 923 Residence Hall services, along with one pre-cast manhole with installation of sump pump in the new manhole. Piping will be direct buried pre-insulated steel pipe and the contractor shall be responsible for all piping, excavation, backfill, landscaping and sitework as specified herein and indicated on the drawings.
Bids for Division III - Heating, Piping, Refrigeration & Temperature Control work will be received up to the hour of 10:00 a.m. prevailing time, on Wednesday, January 14, 2004. Submit all proposals to the Board of Trustees at:

Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 AM local time, on Wednesday, January 14, 2004. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
A pre-bid conference will be held in the Facilities Management, Physical Plant Building, 1140 South Morgan Street, Conference Room B16E, Chicago, Illinois 60607 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Wednesday, January 7, 2004. Representatives of the owner and the professional services consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
