The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the ADA and Evacuation Signage Program for University Hall at Chicago project.

Project Description
The project will provide new signage from the Basement Level to the 28th Floor in University Hall. The building is to receive new signage to comply with current codes, including the City of Chicago High-Rise Evacuation Ordinance, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Illinois Accessibility Code, NFPA 101, and the UIC Signage Standards. In addition, this work will require patching and painting existing surfaces and some replacement of existing room signage.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 AM local time, on Tuesday, April 29, 2003. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in Basement Vending Room B16, at University Hall, 601 S. Morgan Street, Chicago, Illinois, at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, April 22, 2003. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
