The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the University Hall Fire Alarm Modifications at Chicago Campus project.

Project Description
The project consists of replacing the existing fire alarm system with a new, addressable system, including replacement of conventional devices. The existing firefighter's voice communication system panels will also be replaced to allow selective building evacuation, with the addition of visual alarm devices.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Friday, September 26, 2003. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Prebid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held at the site, 601 South Morgan, Chicago, Illinois at 10:00 a.m.. prevailing time on Monday, September 15, 2003. Meet in the main lobby. Representatives of the owner will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
