The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Thomas M . Siebel Center for Computer Science at the Urbana Campus project.
Project Description
The project consists of miscellaneous site work related to the construction of a new Computer Sciences classroom building. The building is approximately 250,000 square feet and is a steel frame with masonry/face brick and curtain wall skin. Refer to Division 1, Sections 01010 and 01030 for a detailed Bid Package work breakdown and alternates for this project.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Thursday, September 12, 2002. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in the project site office conference room, 1211 W. Clark Street, Urbana, IL 61801 at 10:00 am prevailing time on Thursday, September 5, 2002. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
