The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Engineering Science Building Remodeling Project at the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign project.

Project Description
The project consists of selective demolition and remodeling of the second, third, and fourth floors for office and conference space; and the fifth and sixth floors for laboratory space; including new partitions, ceilings, finishes, mechanical, and electrical systems. Second through fourth floors will be Phase I work, and fifth and sixth floors will be Phase 2 work.

Bid Dates
Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Thursday, January 17, 2002, for Divisions II - V Work. Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Tuesday, January 22, 2002 for Division I - General Work. Submit all proposals to the Board of Trustees at:

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Tuesday, January 22, 2002. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in room 6-110 Engineering Sciences Building, at the corner of Springfield and Goodwin Avenue, at 1:30 p.m. prevailing time on Monday, January 7, 2002. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
