The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Illini Union Warehouse, Urbana Campus project.
The project consists of 14,300 square feet base bid floor area, 4,900 square feet expansion by alternate bid, 1,600 square feet base bid mezzanine, and 2,600 square feet mezzanine by alternate bid. The building is a pre-engineered metal building warehouse with CMU and metal framed interior partitions, depressed loading dock, structural steel with composite concrete slab mezzanine, overhead and cooling doors, hollow metal doors and frames, concrete drive, and curbing. The work consists of relocation of various components from existing warehouse building, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection work. Refer to Division 1, Section 01000 of the specifications for a complete, detailed breakdown of the base bids and alternates for this project.
On Tuesday, November 21, 2000, at 10:00 a.m., prevailing time, bids will be received for Divisions II, IV, V, and VI work. On Tuesday, November 21, 2000, at 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, bids will be received for Division I work. Submit all proposals to the Board of Trustees at:

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Tuesday, November 21, 2000. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
A pre-bid conference will be held in room 514 of the Illini Union Bookstore, 807 S. Wright St., Champaign, IL 61820 at 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, November 14, 2000. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
