The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Library Remote Storage Project at the Urbana-Champaign Campus.

Project Description
This project is for the construction of a multi-phase storage facility primarily for book storage and a small administrative support area. The initial phase will be for approximately 29,000 gsf to support one million volumes of books; future phases will complete the build-out and total seven million volumes of book storage. The site is campus-owned and in Champaign, Illinois. The project will follow a recently completed Program Analysis and Program Design.

Bid Dates
Bids for Divisions II-V work will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Tuesday, December 10, 2002. Bids for Division I work will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Thursday, December 12, 2002.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Thursday, December 12, 2002. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in Conference Room #128 of the Physical Plant Services Building at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Thursday, November 21, 2002. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
