The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the the Division of Campus Recreation Phase II Renovation and Expansion of the IMPE building project at the Urbana campus project.

Project Description
1. Campus Recreation Center on four floors consisting of racquetball courts, climbing wall, gymnasiums, walking track, fitness areas, weight lifting area, locker rooms, indoor pool, outdoor pool, administration area, wellness center, seminar room.

a) New construction connected to an existing building.
b) Remodeling of existing spaces.
2. Addition of Upper Level, Fitness Area, walking track and vaulted skylight.
3. Exterior hardscape and landscape and related sitework. This project includes a project labor agreement that will be executed between the lowest responsive/responsible bidder and the East Central Building and Construction Trades Council. A copy of the project labor agreement is included in the project bid documents, General Project Requirements.

Bids for Divisions II through VII work will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Thursday, December 2, 2004 in room 128 of the Physical Plant, 1501 S. Oak Street, Champaign, IL. Bids for Division I work will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 in room 127B of the Physcial Plant, 1501 S. Oak Street, Champaign, IL. The Owner shall assign the contracts for Contract Divisions II - VII Work to the Contract Division I (General Contractor) in accordance with Article 6.2 of the General Conditions. (Refer to Articles 6.2 and 15 of the General Conditions for requirements concerning assignments of contracts.)Submit all proposals to the owner at:

Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in Room 154, IMPE Building, 201 East Peabody Drive, Champaign, IL 61820 at 11:00 a.m. prevailing time on Wednesday, September 29, 2004. Representatives of the owner and the professional services consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
