The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Digital Computer Lab 3rd Floor Remodeling at the Urbana Campus project.
Project Description
The project consists of remodeling approximately 6,850 square feet of the Digital Computer Laboratory - 3rd Floor East to create 39 interview rooms and associated support spaces. Work consists of demolition of existing partitions and finishes; new metal stud and gypsum board partitions, hollow metal frames, wood doors, acoustical tile suspended ceiling, carpeting, rubber base, wood trim detailing, painting and staining; and mechanical, electrical , and fire protection work.
Bid Dates
Bids for Divisions III-VI work will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Tuesday, September 23, 2003. Bids for Division I work will be received up to the hour of 4:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Thursday, September 25, 2003. The Owner shall assign the contracts for Contract Divisions III to VI work to the Contract Division I (General Contractor) in accordance with Article 6.2 of the General Conditions. Bids will be received up to the hour of 4:00 PM local time, on Thursday, September 25, 2003. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in Room 3310 of the Digital Computer Laboratory, 1304 W. Springfield Ave., Urbana, IL 61801 at 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, September 9, 2003. Representatives of the owner and the professional services consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
