The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Motorcycle Storage at the Urbana campus project.
The Project consists of a new 60? x 120? pre-engineered metal building, including associated site preparation, site utilities and site work, concrete footings, foundations and slabs; and associated Mechanical/Electrical work. There is also an Alternate Bid for interior ?fit-out? of the building.
This project includes a project labor agreement that will be executed between the lowest responsive/responsible bidder and the East Central Building & Construction Trades Council. A copy of the project labor agreement is included in the project bid documents, General Project Requirements.
Bids for Divisions II, IV and V work will be received up to the hour of 10:00 a.m. prevailing time, on Tuesday August 10, 2004. Bids for Division I work will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Thursday, August 12, 2004. The Owner shall assign the contracts for Contract Divisions II, IV and V Work to the Contract Division I General Contractor) in accordance with Article 6.2 of the General Conditions. Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Thursday, August 12, 2004. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
A pre-bid conference will be held at the Motorcycle Training Classroom Building (adjacent to the job site), #8 Gerty Drive, Champaign, Illinois, at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, August 3, 2004. Representatives of the owner and the professional services consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
