The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the the ash handling system repair at the Urbana campus.
The project consists of the design and erection of an ash storage silo and pneumatic transport along with: the bottom/fly ash storage silo, tie-ins into existing pneumatic transport system, and tie-ins into existing plant Delta V DCS control system.
This project includes a project labor agreement that will be executed between the lowest responsive/responsible bidder and the East Central Building and Construction Trades Council. A copy of the project labor agreement is included in the project bid documents, General Project Requirements.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 AM local time, on Wednesday, August 18, 2004. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
A pre-bid conference will be held in Room #155, Abbott Power Plant, 1117 S. Oak St., Champaign, IL at 10:00 a. m. prevailing time on Monday, July 26, 2004. Representatives of the owner and the professional services consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
