The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the the Parking Lot E-12 and New Stock Pavilion Parking Lot Redevelopment project at the Urbana campus project.
This project will consist of work at the Stock Pavilion Parking Lot (Lot E-11. The following work will be included in this project: Construct earthwork, storm sewers, curb and gutter, sidewalks, aggregate base with bituminous concrete surface for a new parking lot located west of the Stock Pavilion, North of Pennsylvania Avenue and South of Peabody Drive.
Lot E-12: Construct earthwork, storm sewers, pavement removal, bituminous surface removal, curb and gutter and bituminous concrete surface to convert existing tennis courts into a parking lot located East of Huff Hall and South of Gregory Drive.
This project includes a project labor agreement that will be executed between the lowest responsive/responsible bidder and the East Central Building & Construction Trades Council. A copy of the project labor agreement is included in the project bid documents, General Project Requirements.

The bid documents may be obtained from the professional services consultant by depositing a check in the amount of $50 for each set, payable to the professional services consultant.

Each bidder shall prequalify with the owner in accordance with the General Instructions to Bidders (Document 00200).
All bidders shall be prequalified with the owner. New bidders that are not prequalified shall prequalify using the owner's web-based Contractor Annual Prequalification System (CAPS)- http://notes.ocp.uiuc.edu:8888/
The project will be administered using the owner's web-based project management system. PRZM was developed to maximize the potential of the Internet in allowing project team members to access and exchange project information. PRZM supports team collaboration in management and interaction, as well as team member empowerment on a multi-layer security system.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 AM local time, on Tuesday, March 29, 2005. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
A pre-bid meeting will be held in Room #128, Facilities & Services, 1501 S. Oak, Champaign, IL 61820 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, March 22, 2005. Representatives of the owner and the professional services consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
