The bid opening date for Division 1 has been changed to April 2, 2013.

The bid opening date for Divisions 2-5 has been changed to March 29, 2013.

The project specific prequalification date has been changed to March 20, 2013.

An additional MANDATORY pre-bid meeting is scheduled for March 14, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Room B21, 750 S. Halsted Street, Chicago.

This additional mandatory meeting is targeting Divisions 2 and 3 specifically. However, other Divisions should attend also if they wish to bid on this project. Attendance at the original mandatory prebid will be honored such that all in attendance at the first mandatory prebid can still bid even if they don’t attend this second mandatory prebid meeting.

Project Description
Renovation of the south portion of the basement level (former recreation area) within the Student Center East (SCE) located at 750 S. Halsted, Chicago. The approximate 23,850 gsf area is to be fit-out into a tenant-leased call center with support offices, conference rooms, and data server room(s). The open office space shall initially accommodate approximately 150 phone operators and 12 managerial workstations. It shall be planned to allow a future fit-out of another 40 to 50 workstations. The fit-out shall include distribution of tenant-specific ventilation, electrical, plumbing, and information technology systems, as well as modified washrooms and public access to the leased space. The space will be designed for employees that may be visually impaired. The scope of work includes interior finishes, lighting design, emergency power supply, fire alarm, fire suppression piping, bid alternate, acoustical control/treatment for internal and external sources, and related building systems coordination.
