The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Environmental Labs Remodel at the Chicago campus project.

Project Description
This project will consist of remodeling two existing labs, approximately 2500 square feet, into two new environmental labs, one small office and one "class 1000" clean room. One lab will have regular fume hoods as well as one perchloric hood with a scrubber.

Bid Dates
Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 AM prevailing time, on Tuesday, September 28, 2004, for Division III through Division V work, at 1140 S. Paulina Street, Room 244. Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 AM prevailing time, on Wednesday, October 5, 2004, for Division I work, at 1140 S. Paulina Street Room 244. Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 AM local time, on Tuesday, October 5, 2004. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Pre-Bid Meeting
A pre-bid meeting will be held in Room 244 of the Paulina Street Building, 1140 S. Paulina, Chicago, IL 60612-7215, at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Tuesday August 31, 2004. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
