Project Description
The BRL contains 88,142 sq. ft. of space and it is currently served by 60 years old mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The scope of the project is to upgrade essential elements of MEP systems in the BRL. Most work for this project will take place on the roof of the east portion of the building and will support the entire facility with supply air, controls, reheat and electric power. The proposed work will include the following:

Replacement of six air handling units (AHUs) and associated humidification systems that service the BRL
Replacement of reheat coils
Replacement of exhaust fans
Replacement of pneumatic control system with a direct digital control (DDC) system integrated into the campus utility system
Replacement of the buildings electrical service switch gear and motor control services

This Project is located at: 1840 West Taylor Street Bldg. 932., Chicago, IL 60612

A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held on 01/19/21 at 11:00 AM prevailing time through Zoom #312-626-6799, enter meeting id #822 4521 1549 and Passcode #87875996. Site visit will be on 1/20/21 between 9AM and 4PM, Project manager will send out email invites with the times assigned. Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend.
