Project Description
This project involves the removal of two existing exhaust fans, and their associated ductwork in the penthouse, serving the kitchen and serving areas. These fans will be replaced with two new roof mounted exhaust fans. New kitchen exhaust ductwork with 2-hour fire insulation will be routed up to the roof level for each fan. Each fan will be controlled by a new variable speed drive. Controls will stand alone for this project, with the ability to be tied into future enhanced controls as part of a future project. The two fans and variable speed drives will be procured by UIC and turned over to the contractor for installation. Associated work includes structural, roofing and fireproofing.
