Project Description
The project consists of phased replacements of up to eight (8) air handling units plus exhaust fans, electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarm, sprinkler, heat recovery system components, piping, and temperature control work associated with the air handling unit replacements. The air handling units will be replaced in a one-by-one fashion with downtime minimized for new unit tie-ins. New changeover chilled water piping will be connected to existing air handling units (AHU-1 and AHU-2). A new walkway suitable for wheeled carts will be installed on the roof to existing chillers, existing air handling units S-11 and S-7, and new air handling unit S-5. New maintenance access platform will be installed at the existing roof mounted chillers. Building wide pneumatic temperature controls will be replaced with digital electronic temperature control system. This includes controls and valves for existing terminal devices such as terminal boxes, booster coils, and induction units. Controls and valves for existing hydronic converters will be replaced. Controls and actuators for existing exhaust fans will be replaced. Isolation room pressure controls and utility meter monitoring will also be replaced.
