Project Description
Complete build-out of new 2,000 SF Hybrid Operating Room Suite in vacant space on the 3rd Floor of the existing Hospital. The Suite will include a Hybrid Operating Room with single plane imaging system, Control Room and Equipment Storage Room. Demolition scope includes walls, doors, ceilings, finishes, casework, mechanical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, medical gas, lighting, electrical and low voltage/technology. New construction consists of new partitions, lead shielding, unistrut to support ceiling hung equipment, cabinetry, ceilings, finishes, fire protection, leaded windows and doors, doors, frames and hardware. The mechanical scope includes temperature controls, piping to the building?s main chiller lines and medical gas distribution within the room and to a new pedestal at the foot of the imaging table. The Division 1 contractor will be responsible for coordinating the Division 4 Ventilation Work which will be provided by the Owner under a separate contractor. The Division 4 work includes a new air handling unit installed in the space, secondary cooling for the imaging equipment and duct distribution. Plumbing includes a new scrub sink. Electrical work includes new electrical and isolation panels for the power in the rooms and the power for the imaging system and other medical equipment. New general lighting and new surgical lights and booms will be installed. There will also be conduits required to interconnect the imaging system, the Control Room, the A/V integration system and the lights and booms.

This Project is located at: University of Illinois Hospital located at 1740 W. Taylor Street, Chicago, IL.
