Invitation for Construction Bid: Facade and Roof Repair & Window Replacement-SPHPI

Project Description
The School of Public Health and Psychiatric Institute (SPHPI) consists of a twelve-story building located on the west side of UICs campus. Built in 1957, it was originally used as a hospital and is currently utilized for animal research, education, and administration.
Facade: Rebuild damaged bricks that have been pulled away from existing masonry substrate, replace damaged steel lintels, tuckpoint 100% of the building.
Roof: Replace all fourteen (14) roof-areas with Modified Bitumen Roofing System and R30 insulation.
Window/Interior: Replace all 626 windows with fixed insulated energy efficient windows. Repair all finishes that have been damaged by moisture / water.
Curtain wall / Storefront: Wet-seal 100% of the curtain wall. Replace storefront at the west-end and at the south side of the building.

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference for all parties interested in bidding the project will be held in Paulina Street Building, Building 963 Room 243 at 9:00 AM on 2/2/2023. Mandatory Walk thru of the site to follow mandatory pre-bid meeting. Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend.
