Project Description
Replacement of existing, powered, revolving doors, sliding doors and manual swing door of 3 entrance locations to the main lobby of Willard Terminal Building. Demolition of existing terrazzo flooring, recessed entrance matting components, and existing door components. Installation of 3-14 diameter, powered revolving doors and 6 powered sliding entrance doors. New terrazzo flooring, preparation for new recessed floor mat system furnished by the owner, and concrete sidewalk repairs. All work to be coordinated with the operation of the airport terminal activities and requirements.

This project includes a project labor agreement that will be executed between the lowest responsive/responsible bidder and the East Central Building & Construction Trades Council. A copy of the project labor agreement is included in the project bid documents, General Project Requirements.
This project will be managed using the owner's web-based Construction Project Management System "PRZM".
Bid Document Sources
Bid documents have been prepared by MOORHEAD-GRUBER ARCHITECTS, 495 Devonshire Drive, Champaign, IL 61820, the professional services consultant. The bid documents may be obtained from MOORHEAD-GRUBER Architects by depositing a check made payable to the Professional Services Consultant in the amount of $30 OR non-cash plan deposit programs which are guaranteed by contractor associations are acceptable.

Prequalification
Each bidder shall prequalify with the owner in accordance with the General Instructions to Bidders (Document 00200).
All bidders shall be prequalified with the owner. New bidders that are not prequalified shall prequalify using the owner's web-based Contractor Annual Prequalification System (CAPS)- http://notes.ocp.uiuc.edu
Pre-Bid Meeting
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 in Administrative Office-Conference Room, UpperLevel-Willard Airport Terminal, 2:00 p.m. prevailing time. Representatives for the owner and the professional services consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
Bid Opening
Immediately after the closing time for receiving bids, all proposals will be publicly opened, read, and tabulated at Room 128, 1501 South Oak Street, Champaign, IL 61820. Noted errors, omissions and defects will be announced. Bids received after closing time will be returned unopened. The public opening and reading is for information only and is not construed as acceptance or rejection of any bid.
Bid Acceptance or Rejection
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof, to waive any informalities in the bidding, and to accept the bids deemed to be in the best interests of the owner after all bids have been examined and evaluated.
Statutory Requirements
The successful bidder will be required to comply with all laws, statutes, regulations, ordinances, rulings or enactments of any governmental authority that are applicable to the work or to the project. The successful bidder shall pay prevailing wages and shall utilize equal employment opportunity hiring practices in connection with this project.
