Project Description
The base bid MEP scope of work includes the installation of one new, dedicated outside-air AHU on the roof of the Newmark building to serve the lab spaces on the fourth floor. This new AHU will incorporate a heat wheel to recover energy from the room/hood exhaust air steams and transfer it to the supply air steam. Existing AHUs in the northwest and southwest mechanical rooms of the 4th floor will be demolished. The roof mounted exhaust fans serving the associated labs will be demolished. All new ductwork shall be routed on the roof of the building. Base Bid General Contractor work includes flashing work at rooftop equipment and supports for new duct runs, limited fire protection work, providing access above ceilings, and demolition and patching of masonry walls to provide access into mechanical chases as shown in the drawings.
