Project Description
The project work shall include renovating approximately 1,500 sf of laboratory space on the third floor of the National Soybean Research Center into collaborative spaces consisting of an innovative collaborative classroom and a media communications lab/video recording studio. Most demolition work will be completed outside of the contract by others prior to the start of this project as identified in documents. All additional demolition work required shall be included as part of this projects scope of work as identified per documents. All project areas are to have hazardous materials abated by the contractor. The scope will include, at minimum, renovation of existing interior spaces including walls, doors, and finishes; new work consisting of hollow metal frames, wood doors with hardware, metal stud and high impact gypsum board interior partition walls and soffits, acoustical wall panels, glass marker boards, flooring, suspended acoustical ceiling tile and grid, motorized shades and painting; and all associated Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical and AV work. The existing building MEP systems will be reconfigured to serve the remodeled areas.
