The solicitation for the BAU19098-R Orchard Downs Community Building - Expansion and Renovation project will not be awarded, due to bid modifications that were not publicly posted as required by Procurement Code and Illinois Administrative Rules. The University intends to rebid this project as BAU19098-R2 as soon as possible.

This Addendum 01 supplements and amends the project manual and the drawings and shall be taken into account in preparing this proposal and shall become a part of the contract documents. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum by listing the number and date, where provided, on the bid form (document provided by the contractor.) This Addendum updates specification information only and does not alter the previously published bid date(s).

Project Description
The U19098 Orchard Downs Community Building - Renovation and Expansion project work shall include demolition, abatement, and new construction work to provide an addition and renovation of the Orchard Downs Community Building, including additional multipurpose space, accessible restrooms, and a storm refuge area within the addition.

The scope of work shall include at minimum, but not necessarily be limited to: selective demolition of exterior and interior walls, finishes, doors, windows, fixtures, etc. hazardous materials abatement new work including concrete foundations, brick veneer exterior walls, CMU wall construction for a storm refuge area, structural steel, cold-formed metal framing, thermal insulation, PVC low slope roofing, metal scuppers and downspouts, hollow metal doors with metal frames and hardware, thermally broken aluminum storefront windows, interior finishes including but not limited to gypsum board walls and soffits, VCT flooring, wall base, SAT ceilings, and painting, restroom accessories and Fire protection, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical work associated with the addition and renovation.

This Project is located at: Orchard Downs Community Building (Building #249), 509 W. George Huff Drive, Urbana, IL 61801.

An optional prebid conference for all parties interested in bidding the project will be held via Zoom meeting on Monday, March 21st, at 10 a.m. Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
