The University wishes to lease office space located at close proximity to the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) campus for a period of a minimum of 3 years to a not to exceed 10 years. This property will be used for computing infrastructure, including servers and networking equipment used to provide 7x24x365 enterprise business applications for the University of Illinois at all three campuses by the Administrative Information Technology Services (AITS) primarily.

The space will be used for approximately 20-30 staff members that maintain the equipment and provide support such as helpdesk and information security services. Access to a loading dock and receiving area is required.

Space needs may be phased over a period of time and are estimated to range from 2,750 to 15,000 rentable sq. ft. State of the art building amenities, including campus backbone connectivity at or in close proximity to building, along with sufficient building infrastructure, such as 2 separate data center rooms (each approximately 2,000 sq. ft. at a minimum) with raised floors and fire detection/suppression, 350kW power service, cooling, battery backup (UPS) and a redundant power source to support AITS' substantial rack-based computing needs will be required. AITS anticipates 20 racks of equipment operating at around 3kw per rack, with the capacity to operate up to 9kw per rack in the future.
