Description of Project
The Music Building houses an instructional laboratory for computer-based instruction. This existing laboratory (room 5047) requires extensive upgrading and renovation, including the creation of an adjacent server room (room 5053). A second instructional laboratory is to be created by combining two lower level classrooms (rooms 1160 & 1164) into one larger laboratory facility. Both laboratories will require all new architectural finishes, including new ceilings, along with all necessary HVAC, lighting, voice/data and electrical system upgrades. The project scope will also include new computer carrels for both labs, as well as infrastructure for new audio and video systems. Also as part of this project, a storage room is to be created in an existing lower level lobby area to replace storage displaced by the new lower level instructional laboratory.
