Project Description
Professional Services Consultant (PSC) to provide Architectural and Engineering services for the replacement of mechanical equipment at Student Center East located at 750 S. Halsted Street, Chicago, Illinois. The PSC will provide full design services through completion of Contract Documents. The Professional Services Agreement may be amended to include Bidding, Construction Administration, On-site Observation, and Warranty phase services contingent upon campus funding to proceed with the project into these phases. The project scope includes the replacement of (7) seven aging built-up air handling units (AHU) and two (2) exhaust fans (EF), as well as any associated electrical infrastructure (disconnects, motor controllers, panelboards, distribution system equipment) and components required to facilitate their replacements. This mechanical equipment is original to the building (>50 years old) and is well past its useful service life. The scope of work may include, but is not limited to, demolition, removal and replacement of all HVAC equipment identified for this project, ductwork and piping connections to each unit, removal and reinstallation of walls, louvers, etc. for equipment access, surface and finish restoration of areas disturbed by work, installation of a new Tridium Niagara 4 DDC/BAS system, and retrofitting the electrical distribution system to accommodate new equipment. This project will be executed in multiple phases based on funding availability and constructability constraints and each area of the building impacted by this work needs to remain fully functional and operational.

Project Location: Student Center East, 750 South Halsted Street, Chicago, IL 60612.
