The project consists of replacing the existing Cooling Tower and supporting infrastructure at the East Cogeneration Facility located at the corner of Morgan and Taylor Streets. The scope of work includes: Demolition, and removal of the existing tower and abandoned above and below grade piping and electrical infrastructure; supply and install of the replacement cooling tower- packaged unit/s, supporting structures, infrastructure and accessories including above and below grade piping and accessories, instrumentation, fire detection and suppression systems; replacement or refurbishing of concrete basin, circulating condenser water pumps, motor and associated piping and instrumentation; reconfiguration and restoration of existing space, surfaces and finishes to accommodate the new cooling tower; replacement piping, control system hardware and integration, side stream filtration system, automatic balancing valves, and modification of electrical plant; new motor control center and variable frequency drive, power cabling, raceway; new chemical treatment system; and replacement switchgear.
