The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois hereby requests qualifications from space planners/architects/engineers to provide professional services in connection with the following project
Description of Project
The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Campus Auxiliary Services (CAS) is seeking programmatic planning and conceptual cost estimating for several organizational entities currently located in the Student Services Building (SSB) to augment a consolidation plan.
The SSB, located at the corner of Racine and Harrison Street, has been a beacon for student services on the east side of UIC since 1995. The building has approximately 260,000 Gross Square Feet (GSF), and approximately 260 parking spaces on its roof. An additional 115 covered parking spaces are located adjacent to the building on its western edge.
CAS is seeking a space planner/architect that will help present programmatic, operational and facility findings for the reconfiguration of specific entities within their current SSB spaces. This additional information is an outgrowth of a larger in-progress space plan for SSB.
Scope of Work
The scope of this project will consist of project orientation and programming, core plan verifications, space plans, furniture plans and preliminary statements of probable costs for Student Affairs and for the Office of Admissions and Records (OAR) in the Student Services Building.
Completion by May, 2005
