Description of Project
This project will consist of architectural services to develop a feasibility study for the major renovation of floors 2-8, including the updating of the 9th floor laundry room, in the Student Resident Hall (SRH). The renovation of floors 4-8 will reconfigure the existing student spaces into bedroom/bathroom suites and create floor lounges. Half of the 2nd floor will remain in its current condition with renovation of the other half, for social and learning-related spaces. The renovation of the 3rd floor will revitalize this floor although maintain similar functions as currently used; two staff apartments, administrative offices, computer lounge and large student lounge. The project will also replace the fire alarm system and install a fire suppression system (sprinklers) throughout the building.
