Project Description
In an effort to address both energy conservation (usage - efficiency) and select deferred maintenance (failing equipment - building pressurization - lab airflow), the project will focus on several air handling units and exhaust systems that are beyond their useful life. Remove and replace multiple constant volume air handling units that currently serve the basement through third floors with an HVAC system that incorporates energy reclamation (heat recovery system.) The project will also involve some selective demolition, potential relocation of existing equipment and the need to modify existing air distribution, exhaust air systems and related controls as required to accommodate this upgrade. (This will only affect the portion of the building built in 1960).
