Project Description The University of Illinois is seeking professional services for design and construction administration through warranty for University Housing?s Phase II of the project involving life safety and finish upgrades for Babcock and Saunders Residence Halls. The life safety work includes providing a sprinkler system in both facilities as required under the Fire Sprinkler Dormitory Act (110ILCS 471) as well as the installation of fire alarm devices necessary per code. Finish upgrades include replacing flooring in the corridors (abate the VAT), stairwells and lobbies, painting all student rooms and ceilings, painting the corridors, stairwells and lobbies at each of the residence hall floors and replacing the student room deadbolts.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
