Project Description
The University of Illinois is seeking professional services consultants to conduct a comprehensive development plan for a proposed state-of-the-art facility for the cultural centers, ethnic studies, and gender / women’s studies units, with a minimum LEED Gold Certification, on the Urbana/Champaign Campus. In response to well established and substantial needs, the Chancellor’s Diversity Initiatives Committee has proposed that a Feasibility Study be initiated that will address the requisites of the units, and incorporate them into a unified facility that would provide individual tenement for each, taking into account their distinct identities, histories, and needs, as well as providing shared space for multi-purpose uses.
