The National Register for Historic Places "eligible" Memorial Stadium, at 1400 South First Street, Champaign, built in 1923, has been renovated and upgraded several times, but the mortar joints and exterior masonry work has remained untouched. Recent photographs of various areas of the exterior show what appears to be masonry (brick and limestone) and mortar joint deterioration. Time and the weather have taken their toll and the entire exterior needs to be inspected and evaluated to determined exactly what areas of the exterior need to be re-pointed, and if necessary, have masonry (brick and limestone) replaced.
