Project Description
The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking the expertise of a design team consisting minimally of an Architect, Engineer, Food Services Consultant, and a Cost Estimator to study the conceptualization of planning for the renovation and possible expansion of the existing Dining Services Building at ISR. It is the University's intent to continue to utilize the same design team through design, bid, and construction, once the study is complete. The study will explore the physical changes necessary to achieve an "all you care to eat" multi-venue dining concept with a "late night" component to the facility. It is to include recommended changes and updates to all existing infrastructure, such as the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. The information offered in the study will support the overall Dining Services Program priorities, which is to provide a facility that exceeds the customers' expectations by being adaptable and will keep pace with changing trends and mandates; remain operationally efficient, fiscally sound, environmentally responsible, sustainable and reflect the communities' values.
