Project Description
The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois is seeking a professional services consultant team for the conceptualization, design, bid/award, and construction phase services for the Noyes Laboratory Rooms 219 & 250 Renovation project

Noyes Laboratory is located at 505 South Matthews, Urbana, Illinois. Noyes Laboratory is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Professional Service Consultant (PSC) shall provide the planning, design, bid/award, and construction phase, and Warranty services for the Noyes Laboratory Rooms 219 & 250 Renovation. SCS, the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering will team up to transform the second floor of Noyes lab into a modern showcase of science classrooms and laboratories right on the Quad. This project is limited to the renovation of the two labs, 219 and 250 and the creation of the south access corridor to complete the connection between the west and east corridors. The proposed classroom creation and remodeling will be executed within another project and funding. The aspects of the proposed project to modernize Noyes Lab are described below: in rooms 219 & 250 on the South side ca. 6500 sqft. Room 219 is currently housing a synthetic chemistry lab with inadequate ventilation and temperature control whereas room 250 is currently unused, its lab having been relocated several years ago to a new space.
