The Mile Square Health Center Project will construct a Health Center in the Illinois Medical District which will provide health care to a far greater volume of patients in need of primary care. The project is currently a 5 story building to be located at 1220 South Wood Street (southwest corner of Roosevelt Road and Wood Street). The project includes building out the tenant space on the 1st floor to provide an urgent care clinical area, a pharmacy, medical laboratory, administration space, and the entrance lobby. The 2nd floor tenant improvements will be for a physician’s family practice, including 43 exam rooms, mental health room and tele-health rooms. The 3rd, 4th and 5th floors will remain shell space until tenants are assigned. Exterior improvements include a 112 car permeable paver parking lot and site work. The project is pursuing USGBC LEED Silver Certification.
