an estimated $32,000.
The Center for Legal Studies (UIS) will be conducting DUI Seminars in conjunction with a Department of Transportation contract that we received.
The funder has directed our office to offer two training sessions in the Galena, IL area. Eagle Ridge Inn and Resort is the only facility in the Galena area that has sufficient space for the meetings and the facilities can accommodate the participants. Other facilities in the area do not have the combination of meeting facilities and accommodations that are needed for this particular conference. If another hotel/conference center in the area were to be used, the meetings would need to be held at a separate facility from where the participants would be lodged. Considering these factors, Eagle Ridge is the sole source provider in this area that fulfills all specifications for this conference at the budgeted amount.
Two sessions will be conducted on the following dates:
October 30, 31 and November, 1, 2000
April 9 ? 11, 2001
52 sleeping rooms will be needed for the nights of October 30 and 31 and April 9 and 10 at the state rate of $50 plus tax. Other requirements are as follows:
Meeting rooms for 60 for all three days of the seminars
1 breakout room
2 dinners, 2 lunches and 2 breakfasts, plus breaks ? in separate rooms
AV needs ? tv/vcr, lavelier microphone, 2 tabletop microphones, flipcharts
