The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Division of Traffic Safety, through a grant at the University of Illinois, Springfield, is seeking bids to purchase stand alone, digital in-car video recording systems to be awarded to Illinois law enforcement agencies for the purpose of furthering their mission in the area of DUI enforcement in order to prevent fatalities and reduce severe injuries on Illinois highways. IDOT will award ten systems in each of five campaigns in 2010. A total of 50 systems are requested.
